Boutique Data Analytics and Testing specialist Seriös Group has established its headquarters in the heart of Newcastle city centre as it looks to exceed initial growth targets.
The business, which only formed in February 2020, now employs 16 staff, and counts technology, real estate, and facilities management companies among its corporate clients.
Its previous scale up strategy to expand its headcount to 30 within five years has now been adjusted to upwards of 50 as it continues an impressive growth trajectory.
Managing director Paul Davison, said: “Businesses increasingly realise the value of data that enables them to make informed decisions on everything from productivity gains and cost savings to reducing their environmental impact and ensuring an effective supply chain.
“Seriös Group has made a huge leap forward and is on track to exceed our original growth estimates, and that is largely down to the fact that we understand what our customers wish to achieve.
“Just a year ago we gathered our four-strong team in a Newcastle hotel to hold a ‘town hall’ meeting. Twelve months on, we hired the same room and welcomed a staff of 16 – which underlines our growth.
“We have now established an office in the heart of Newcastle city centre, which provides sufficient space to allow us to continue to expand our headcount over the coming years.
“We are really keen to play a part in skills retention for the area and offer the talented and creative graduates coming out of the city’s universities with an opportunity to stay in Newcastle and be part of a vibrant business community.”
Paul, along with founding directors, Lee Rorison, David Milnes, and Antonio Nigrelli, are all experienced at delivering projects for blue-chip organisations. Professional services provided by the business also include IoT sensor integration and analytics.
Stephen Patterson, chief executive of NE1 Ltd, the Business Improvement District for Newcastle city centre, said: “It’s great to see high quality businesses like Seriös Group moving into the city, contributing to the local economy and making it a more attractive place to both live and work.”
