Seriös Group creates 11 jobs as it brings key functions inhouse

Seriös Group, the boutique data analytics and testing consultancy, has created a further 11 jobs as it continues to deliver rapid growth.
One key hire is that of Emma Leigh Miller who has been appointed as HR & talent manager, allowing the business to bring previously outsourced functions in-house.
Emma, who has more than five years’ experience in the HR sector, will advise the board on a range of issues, including staff retention, employee engagement, wellbeing and recruitment strategies.
She will also work with directors to identify potential areas for learning and development to support career progression.
As well as HR, finance will also be brought in-house under the leadership of finance manager Liane Duffy, who will be supported by finance administrator Rachel Milnes.
In addition, it has recruited Dan Reed and Lorraine Rorison as product owners, Andrew Collins and Tatiana Soares da Silva as senior consultants, Christine Huntley, Marcus Trinder, and Michael Young as consultants, and Miikael Puusepp as a junior consultant on the apprenticeship programme.
Newcastle-headquartered Seriös Group, which formed in February 2020 has already seen its team expand to 33. Recruiting both experienced consultants as well as graduates and apprentices across the North East and beyond. The company are currently actively recruiting for a range of roles.

“The demand for strategic, data-driven decision-making is driving growth as more and more businesses recognise the ability to optimise performance and efficiency – a trend that is forecast to increase.”
Andrew Collins, from South Shields, a winner in the 2019 and 2021 DatalQ Awards, which recognise excellence in the data industry, joined Seriös Group as senior consultant after spending more than 12 years with EDF.
He said: “I was seeking a fresh challenge and was impressed not only by Seriös Group’s ability and ambition but by how it engages with staff and I’m looking forward to supporting the company as it continues to scale.”
Seriös Group, which counts technology, real estate, and facilities management companies among its corporate clients, had initially forecast that its headcount would grow to 30 as part of its five year strategy – a figure that has now been revised to upwards of 50.
